The London Stock Exchange is set to re-launch the securities masterfile service as the SEDOL (Stock Exchange Daily Official List) Masterfile service.
From 26 January, 2004, the service, which relates to the transmission of identification information for securities held on the exchange, will become a licensed activity. The annual charges will range from £500 for a low-end user of the codes to £50,000 for a heavy user such as a large law firm.
