The Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (Cepa) between mainland China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region was signed on 29 June, 2003. This landmark free trade agreement aims to give Hong Kong companies and professionals an advantage over foreign businesses in the mainland Chinese market.
The deal has attracted significant political and legal comment, and may pave the way for law firms in Hong Kong to enjoy much greater opportunities than ever before.
