China has unveiled details of reforms that will next year ease tough restrictions on the country’s legal market – although question marks remain over how much foreign firms can take advantage of the changes.
The reforms were published on 30 November by the Ministry of Justice. For the first time they allow Hong Kong firms to form exclusive alliances with mainland Chinese firms and offer coveted practising rights to Hong Kong lawyers.
