Wragges shakeout could claim 30

Wragge & Co is set to cut up to 30 lawyers before the end of the financial year in a sharp switch of strategy for the leading regional firm.

The cuts, which are not expected to include formal redundancies, will come via tougher performance reviews set for early 2004. However, a number of junior lawyers have already been advised to look for other jobs.
