The Lord Chancellor Lord Falconer is to address the Law Society council ahead of a key vote this month to press Chancery Lane to embrace the Tesco law reforms.
A Law Society spokesman confirmed that Falconer was invited by president Peter Williamson and chief executive Janet Paraskeva to attend the council meeting on 17 December – the first time that a cabinet minister has appeared before the council.
