Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised German construction company Walter Bau on its e355m (£243m) joint venture with the Croatian Government to construct and maintain a motorway between its capital Zagreb and the Slovenian border.
The firm became involved in the deal after winning a beauty parade for the work against magic circle opposition in 2001.
