US' leading bar group to join European lawyers in fight for in-house privilege in competition case

The American Bar Association (ABA) is to wade into the heated debate among European Union (EU) bar organisations on whether to grant in-house lawyers privilege.
The ABA this May authorised its ethics committee to seek a suitable European court case to intervene in as part of a bid to force the European Commission (EC) to recognise US in-house lawyers’ rights to legal privilege.
