Choosing a career is a major decision. At Allen & Overy we believe our summer vacation scheme gives a real insight into practising law at an international law firm, as well as providing answers to all your questions on what to expect from life as a trainee and beyond.
The firm’s scheme is run three times each summer for 75 penultimate-year students. Each placement lasts three weeks. During the scheme you will have the chance to sit in two different departments of your choice, while sharing an office with an associate or partner. You will be given work as would a trainee, becoming part of the team and actively taking part in client deals, giving you a chance to understand the day-to-day transactions the firm works on.
