US firm Sidley Austin Brown & Wood has expelled leading tax partner RJ Ruble for alleged breach of fiduciary duty.
Ruble, an executive committee member, had been one of the firm’s top advisers on offshore tax advice – a practice area that has recently come under scrutiny by the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
