Palm: Handheld computer company Palm has appointed a new head of legal for Europe, with Donna Sewell taking on the role from the departing Karen Edwards. Sewell, who was previously director of legal for Europe, Africa and the Middle East at Onyx Software, started the role on 13 October.
Specsavers: Karen Edwards, the departing head of legal from Palm, has joined Specsavers as its new head of legal, replacing Janine Birtwistle, who retired in June. Edwards took over the 22-strong legal team in July after five years at Palm. Specsavers has a turnover of £490m and has 10,000 employees across the UK and Europe.
