The International Bar Association (IBA) has called on the world’s largest bar groups to throw their weight behind its framework for cross-border practice rights – as an IBA taskforce unveiled its recommendations at last month’s annual conference in San Francisco.
The 10-point code, which was unveiled on 16 September, would sweep away a host of current restrictions on cross-border practice if adopted by major bars (see box).
