Herbert Smith has landed Lehman Brothers as a new finance client after the bank overlooked normal advisers Sidley Austin Brown & Wood and Allen & Overy (A&O) on a £1.5bn mortgage-backed securitisation.
Lehmans is the fourth major banking client to be won by Herbert Smiths’ finance team this year following new mandates from Merrill Lynch, HSBC and Morgan Stanley.
