Clearys bags top EC merger adviser

Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton has hired a top-level official from the European Commission’s (EC’s) Merger Task Force as a partner in a rare senior hire for the New York firm.

Francisco Enrique Gonzalez Diaz joins Clearys’ Brussels arm as the 13th partner to practice in the firm’s antitrust and competition practice after 13 years working in the EC.
