The Bar Council has rejected calls to canvas the UK Bar for support for its campaign to save the rank of Queen’s Counsel (QC) in a move that threatens to further undermine the body’s credibility.
The decision was taken after an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) last night (25 September) after a vote rejected a motion calling for a full ballot of barristers to gauge support for the Bar Council’s pro-QC stance.
