In a bullish roundtable meeting staged earlier this month at Eversheds’ Manchester offices, six senior northwest lawyers predicted that within the next 12 months the first £1bn deal would be signed in the city and that this growth would be sustained.
Representatives from Addleshaw Goddard, DLA, Eversheds, Halliwell Landau, Hammonds and Pannone & Partners were unanimous that they had only scratched the surface in Manchester for business and still had the surrounding areas to tap, let alone competing in a wider arena and internationally.
