It is no small irony that, as the TMT market shows signs of recovery after three torrid years, many law firms have finally run out of patience with their expensively-recruited telecoms stars.
TMT has undoubtedly seen more than its fair share of partner traffic in recent months. McDermott Will & Emery partners Stephanie Liston and Rafi-Azim Khan moved to Wilmer Cutler & Pickering and Wragge &Co respectively; Miles Gaithwaite departed Bird & Bird for Hale & Dorr; and Allen & Overy moved rated partner Claire Wright from Hong Kong to London. All this before you consider the revolving door at post-merger Rakisons.
