The competitive German legal market continued to attract foreign interest last month as London’s Bird & Bird unveiled plans to launch a Munich practice – while UK technology rival Osborne Clarke (OC) lost its entire Frankfurt arm.
Bird & Bird’s office will open on 1 October with two partners, corporate partner Ulrich Goebel, who joins the firm from Ernst & Young’s Luther Menold, and trademark specialist Joseph Fesenmair, who is transferring from Duesseldorf.
