CMS Cameron McKenna’s hopes of maintaining its role as lead corporate adviser to National Grid Transco (NGT) were thrown into doubt this week as the energy giant appointed company secretary Helen Mahy as its new global general counsel.
The appointment of Mahy, who joined the company through Lattice’s 2002 merger with National Grid, will be seen to favour Link-laters, as Lattice traditionally instructed the magic circle firm.
