With a nominal end to the war, US lawyers have been taking up Mr Franks’ advice and apparently driving across the desert from Amman to Baghdad in a frenzied, undercover search for juicy post-war contracts. The word in Baghdad is that two brand-new Humvees recently arrived in the city, filled with lawyers from an unnamed Washington DC firm and their ex-marine bodyguards.
