UK law firms will be allowed to float on the stock market as part of a package of Government-backed reforms that promise to create the world’s most liberal legal market.
The radical programme is also likely to see lawyers stripped of their self-regulatory powers in the wake of sustained criticism of the quality of the Law Society of England and Wales’ complaints handling record.
