Weil Gotshal & Manges has advised directories company Yell on its £2bn listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), the first flotation of a private equity-backed company on the LSE in more than a year.
The London office of Weil Gotshal was hot favourite to win the instruction, having advised private equity firms Apax Partners and Hicks Muse Tate & Furst on their acquisition of Yell from BT in May 2001.
