Contrary to the persistent stereotype of IT directors as rather intense boffins who speak in computer jargon, we all know that in the legal sector at least, the head of an IT department is likely to be a well rounded individual who enjoys life and likes to cut loose occasionally. But perhaps the boffin image is a safer one in the long term.
