SJ Berwin has beaten off competition from a pack of leading City firms to advise on UK property company Compco Holdings’ £147m takeover by property rival City & General Securities.
The firm was last used by Compco for property-related advice five years ago and was recommended for this instruction by Compco’s financial adviser Credit Lyonnais Securities.
The firm also beat three City rivals in a beauty parade to land the instruction.
