Philadelphia stalwart Duane Morris has entered merger talks with troubled Chicago firm Altheimer & Gray in a bid to forge a top 50 national US giant – as Duane Morris continues to hunt for a separate UK merger.
Partners at both firms confirmed the discussions as Legal Week went to press, in a deal that promises to greatly bolster the London arm of the 500-lawyer Duane Morris and hand it a network of Eastern European offices.
