Milan firm Sutti is launching a ground-breaking pro bono programme in what is believed to be a first for the Italian legal market.

The scheme, which will see the firm set aside a number of hours to handle cases on a pro bono basis, comes despite current local restrictions.
Although there are traditions of Italian lawyers offering legal services on an ‘honorary basis’ in their free time, Italian Bar rules stipulate minimum rates for legal services and prevent the promotion of free legal services on the internet.
