Cordial invitation
One major law firm in the City is fuelling its fee earners on free glasses of Ribena, which are available on most floors of the firm’s headquarters.
The firm is hoping to increase the lawyers’ enthusiasm for conducting legal research by making the popular cordial a permanent fixture in its library.
However, this largesse is limited strictly to honoured guests and trusted staff such as lawyers and secretaries. Contractors working in a newly refurbished area were not only barred from blackcurrant beverages, but were not allowed tea or coffee for fear of them staining the carpets.
