Squire Sanders & Dempsey has formed an alliance with Kuwaiti firm MM Al Ghazali & Partners as the Cleveland-based firm becomes the latest US practice to target legal work stemming from the reconstruction of post-Saddam Hussein Iraq.

The deal will see the 20-lawyer MM Al Ghazali become Squire Sanders’ third affiliated office. The alliance will be overseen by Joseph Markoski, head of Squire Sanders’ regulatory group, Brussels-based telecoms partner Thomas Ramsey and two other lawyers, all of whom will relocate to Kuwait.
