International firms are taking extreme measures to protect Hong Kong-based staff as the death toll from the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (Sars) continues to grow.
All firms contacted by Legal Week said their Hong Kong staff had been ordered to wear masks while at work and that ill staff or pregnant women were encouraged to stay at home.
