DeweysDewey Ballantine’s management has been forced to issue an internal apology to its staff after the New York firm was embroiled in a race row concerning a song performed by associates and partners at a firm event.

The move came just days after the firm was last month heavily criticised for performing the ‘comic’ song at an annual firm dinner in January, which parodied the announced closure of Deweys’ eight-lawyer Hong Kong branch.
