The Supreme Court of Ohio, home to Cleveland-based giants Jones Day and Squire Sanders & Dempsey, has launched an investigation into whether the state’s ethical code for lawyers should be dropped in favour of the American Bar Association’s (ABA’s) national model.

Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Thomas Moyer set up the 18-member committee, under the lead of Judge Pegg Bryant, with the group being given the task of analysing the state’s code of professional responsibility for lawyers.
