The Big Question

Pie chart Three-quarters of leading business lawyers believe UK law firms have not axed enough partners in response to the prolonged economic downturn, according to a survey of leading partners.

The latest Legal Week/EJ Legal Big Question survey, which polled more than 100 UK lawyers, found 71% of respondents thought law firms had not dispensed with enough under-performing partners during the slowdown, through managed exits or redundancies.
