UK heads of legal are a largely unambitious group whose aspirations remain firmly wedded to the law, if this month’s Benchmarker is anything to go by.
Asked where they ultimately aspire to be in their career, only 5% of the heads of legal questioned said they aspire to be CEO and a significant proportion (26%) said they are happy where they are. If the same question was put to the accountants you can bet your bottom dollar that the answers would be very different.
