Simpson Thacher & Bartlett has called in Davis Polk & Wardwell to defend the elite Wall Street firm after facing strong criticism in a report on the collapse of former client Global Crossing.
Simpson Thacher, which rejects the findings, last week confirmed that veteran Davis Polk litigator Robert Fiske had been retained to advise the firm on any possible claim relating to the US telecoms company’s collapse last year.
