Freshfields shock as Emmerson quits for Milbanks

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has lost highly-rated corporate partner Tim Emmerson to the London arm of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy.

Emmerson will be joining the US firm as a partner in mid-April after nine years as a partner at the magic circle giant, becoming one of the most senior City lawyers to ever join an American practice.
