The Indonesian Government is poised to implement a new law restricting the right of foreign lawyers to practice within the country.
As part of a wide-ranging reform of the country’s legal system, foreign lawyers will soon have to gain a special licence to practice. A new pan-Indonesian law society will be created which will monitor and licence the foreign lawyers.
