Jones Day and Gouldens get married - a day early

US giant Jones Day and leading London firm Gouldens have announced their expected merger a day ahead of schedule – with Gouldens dubbing tomorrow’s formal signing ceremony a mere formality.

The move heralds the creation of the sixth largest firm in the world, and hands Jones Day a 200-lawyer London office.
