BigHand, a developer of digital dictation workflow systems for lawyers, scooped the Society for Computers and Law’s (SCL’s) annual IT award at a ceremony hosted by the Law Society on 20 January.
Critical points in the selection of BigHand as this year’s winner were that the company has played a pivotal role in kick-starting the uptake of digital dictation technology among law firms in the UK – and digital dictation is the technology seen as the most likely to have a positive impact this year on a large number lawyers across the entire industry.
