Allen & Overy (A&O) is set to roll-out a new workflow application, based on the Metastorm development toolkit, to streamline and standardise the firm’s processes for matter closure. This involves lawyers following a partially automated form-filling process that feeds matter-related information into the firm’s finance, marketing and knowhow systems.
The selection and deployment of Metastorm had a long gestation period; and has now progressed to an initial pilot scheme of a new workflow system for matter closure.
