CC loses key rainmaker to US rival Simpson Thacher

Arquit: was estimated to bring $60m of business to Clifford Chance every year Clifford Chance’s (CC’s) star New York partner Kevin Arquit has quit the firm for white shoe rival Simpson Thacher & Bartlett – depriving the global giant of the lawyer widely regarded as its top rainmaker.

Arquit, who is reputed to bring in $60m of business annually, is making the move along with fellow antitrust partner Aimee Goldstein to join Simpson Thacher’s competition team under Chuck Koob and Ken Logan.
