The on-going Asian economic slump has led the UK’s CMS Cameron McKenna and US firms Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett to close offices in the troubled region.
Camerons is closing its Beijing office and downsizing its Hong Kong arm with the loss of around 40 lawyers in a bid to raise partner profits.
