Camerons slashes Asian practice in profits drive

CMS Cameron McKenna has dramatically cut its Asia practice after closing its Beijing branch and cutting around 40 lawyers’ jobs in Hong Kong in a bid to bolster partner profits.

The decision, first reported on Monday (13 January) by www.legalweek.net, will leave just one Asia-based partner, Tim Ingham, focusing on insurance in Hong Kong with a small staff of associates.
