BagpipesConfirmation that there is life after being a managing partner comes via Travers Smith Braithwaite, where ex-head Alasdair Douglas (right) has been busy blowing his own, wait for it, bagpipes.

As well as resurrecting his tax practice at Travers, Douglas has been making something of a musical splash, participating with several other members of his extended family in a 1,000-strong pipe band at Murrayfield before Scotland’s historic win over South Africa in November.
