Simon EnochSimon Enoch’s time as general counsel and company secretary at Baltimore Technologies has been nothing less than a rollercoaster ride. When he joined Zergo – which is now Baltimore Technologies – in August 1998, it had just completed its move from the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) to a full IPO on London’s official list, and was on the brink of its Nasdaq listing and merger with Baltimore.

It soon became the darling of Ireland’s technology revolution and was at the forefront of the new economy boom. But like many dotcoms which were inflated by market hype and unrealistic expectations, Baltimore has suffered during the past two years and its market capitalisation has fallen from a spectacular £7bn in March 2000 to just £32m this year.
