The Legal Services Commission (LSC) is to review its serious fraud panel amid mounting criticisms of the vetting system for admitting new firms.
Only members of the panel, which has grown from 147 firms a year ago to almost 200 today, can do legally aided ‘high cost’ fraud work, defined as work costing more than £100,000 or taking more than 25 days in court.
