Allen & Overy (A&O) has hired its first German IP partner with a raid on the Hamburg arm of London rival Lovells. Henning Harte-Bavendamm, who is yet to negotiate a start date at his new firm, will join A&O’s Hamburg office as the firm’s first full-time German IP partner. Until May, Harte-Bavendamm co-headed Lovells’ international IP group. He was regarded as one of Lovells’ leading German IP partners.
