Foreign firms win places on key Paris Bar Council

Two candidates from international firms have won places on the powerful 36-member Paris Bar Council following strong backing from French business lawyers.

The vote on 25 and 26 November saw senior Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer partner Yves de Mahenge take fourth position with 2,488 votes, with Alain de Foucaud, co-managing partner of the local arm of LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae, placed fifth with 2,336 votes.
