One in four partners believe ‘padding’ of charged hours occurs “all the time” at top 50 UK firms – according to a shock survey of more than 100 senior business lawyers.
The survey, conducted by Legal Week, the sister title of Legal Director, found a further 51% of respondents believing that padding sometimes happens – while not a single partner said it never happened.
