Dutch need courage to keep a hold on destiny

This spring a series of phone calls were made between the senior partners of The Netherlands’ elite law firms. The cause of the activity was rumours that Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer was to close its Amsterdam branch.

Journalists were called by lawyers, lawyers called lawyers and clients started asking questions. Freshfields had to do something.
