If you completely discount the possibility of having them taken out the back and shot, there are no really creative options for partner retirement in this country.
Firms on traditional or modified locksteps need to address the issue of putting partners out to pasture. Historically, the large firms have been paying a vast amount to retired partners and are rethinking their retirement programmes, even considering something similar to the US formula.
