Trowers & Hamlins partner Nick Edmondes advised investment bank Gulf Finance House (GFH) on its £41.7m share acquisition of a single purpose property company, which owns One City Place, Gatwick. The 150,000 sq ft property is let to BT on a 15-year lease. Herbert Smith property assistant Charles Chipchase advised the vendor, British Airports Authority property arm BAA Lynton. The deal was funded by Nationwide Building Society, advised by Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw banking partner Stephen Walsh.

Lovells property partner Jackie Newstead and assistant William Clements advised The Prudential Assurance Company on the £37.6m sale and leaseback of a number of Somerfields’ sites for 25 years with an initial rent of £2.8m per annum and five-year rent reviews.
